Cardinals return to the rankings for the first time since 2013
LOUISVILLE, KY. – The University of Louisville women's soccer team is ranked 18th in this week's Soccer America poll. It is the first time the Cardinals have been ranked since they appeared at No. 24 on Oct. 29, 2013 in the Soccer America poll. Louisville is one of eight ACC teams ranked in the poll.
The Cardinals earned one point in ACC play last week as they played then-No. 7 Duke to a scoreless tie in Durham. On Sunday, Louisville came from behind to defeat No. 17 Boston College 3-2 in double overtime.
Louisville (7-2-2) is currently on a four-game unbeaten streak and is in a five-way tie for first place in the ACC with a 2-0-1 record. The Cardinals will host No. 15 Notre Dame, who is also tied for first, on Saturday in Lynn Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
