
Women's Soccer Hosts Two Matches This Weekend

Cardinals host UAB on Friday and Toledo on Sunday
The University of Louisville women's soccer team will host two teams at Lynn Stadium this weekend. The Cardinals will host UAB on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. as part of a double header with the men. On Sunday Louisville will host Toledo at 3:00 p.m.
Louisville enters the match with an overall record of 1-0-1 with a 4-0 win over Indiana State on Sunday and a 1-1 tie at Indiana on Friday night.
Kaela Dickerman and Allison Whitfield lead the Cardinals with four points each. Dickerman scored a career-high two goals to lead the Cardinals to a 4-0 win over the Sycamores on Sunday. Whitfield scored the equalizer against Indiana and dished out two assists in the Cards' win over Indiana State.
Taylor Bucklin lead the Cardinals in goal with a 1-0-1 record and one shutout on the season. She has a 0.48 goals against average, allowing just one goal. She also has three saves on the year.
Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes is in her 16th season with the Cardinals. She has guided Louisville to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011.
SCOUTING UAB
UAB enters the game coming off a 4-1 win against UT Martin and a 1-1-0 overall record. Senior Sarah Morris comes into the game leading the Blazers with two goals. Sophomore midfielder Marin Cater has a team-high two assists and one goal, as well. Sophomore midfielder Jessica Do and Sophomore forward Caroline Kehrer both add one goal a piece. Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Daugherty comes in with 5 saves and a 1.50 goals against average.
Harold Warren is in his sixth at UAB, where he has posted two seasons above 10 wins. Before his stint with the Blazers, he was an assist coach for the National Championship USC Trojans.
SERIES HISTORY
The Cardinals and Blazers will meet for the 10th time in series history. Last season Louisville took a 1-0 victory in a non-conference match. UAB leads the overall series 7-3 but the Cards have won two of the last three meetings.

Toledo enters the game coming off a 5-1 win against Wagner and a 1-1-0 overall record. Redshirt freshman forward Kelsey Kraft come into the game leading the Rockets with two goals and one assist. Senior midfielder Kiersten Johnson has added two goals of her own. Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Wilson brings in 5 saves and a 1.50 goals against average.
TJ Buchholz is in his first season at Toledo. He coached for four years at Southwest Minnesota State, where he posted a 38-32-5 record. He took the Mustangs to their first ever NCAA tournament and knocked off the number one seed in the process.
