Volleyball Heads to Duke and Wake Forest As ACC Action Continues

Cards hit the road
The University of Louisville women's volleyball team hits the road again to continue ACC play. The Cardinals (7-14, 2-9 ACC) face Duke (16-6, 10-2 ACC) on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and Wake Forest (9-14, 5-7 ACC) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

About the Cardinals
The Cardinals are coming off losses to No. 11 Florida State, 3-1, and Miami, 3-2, over the weekend. Melanie McHenry had 14 kills and eight digs to lead UofL in a 25-23, 18-25, 27-29, 10-25 loss to the Seminoles on Friday night. Tess Clark added 13 kills and two blocks to the cause, while Morgan Miller had 11 kills, two blocks, and an ace.

Louisville was edged out in five sets to the Hurricanes, 16-25, 25-20, 23-25, 30-28, 13-15 on Sunday. McHenry continued her dominant play by leading the Cardinals with 18 kills, nine digs, and two aces. Miller contributed 16 kills and two blocks in the loss, with Clark adding 11 kills and six blocks. The Cardinals hit .233 to Miami's .267.

About the Blue Devils
Duke is coming off a weekend action sweep of Boston College and Syracuse. Middle blocker Jordan Tucker led all players with a season-high 21 kills, five blocks, and five digs in the 3-1 victory against Boston College on Friday night, while Leah Meyer contributed 13 kills and eight blocks to the cause. Duke's dominant attack showed off by hitting .290 for the match.

Meyer was dominant again in the Blue Devils 3-1 victory at Syracuse on Sunday, recording a career-high 19 kills and eight blocks. Tucker helped out her fellow middle blocker by recording 11 kills, five digs, and two aces to help Duke record a .232 hitting percentage.

About the Demon Deacons
Wake Forest is coming off losses at Syracuse, 3-2, and at Boston College, 3-1, over the weekend. Caroline Rassenfoss recorded 18 kills and a block to lead the Demon Deacons, while Katie Moore and Kylie Long added 16 kills a piece in the loss to the Orange on Friday. Wake Forest recorded 13 more kills than Syracuse, but also recorded 14 more errors.

Rassenfoss led the Demon Deacons with 14 kills in their loss to Boston College on Sunday. Hanna Lee chipped in with 13 kills, one ace, and one block. Wake Forest out hit their opponent .213 to .166 but were unable to come away with the victory.
