"What a great crowd today. We got to finish off Senior Day the way we had hoped to. Georgia Tech always makes me nervous and they showed you why in those first two games because they play so hard and have no quit in them. I thought we were a little unfocused but we were able to get it together in the third set. This team's chemistry is very strong and I think you can see that. It was a fun match. Our middles did a phenomenal job in the game. It was a fun weekend," said Coach Anne Kordes after the game.
Â
Louisville was led by Tess Clark's 12 kills with senior Katie George adding 38 assists to lead the team. Louisville hit .233 for the game and had 49 kills. Senior Roxanne McVey had 10 digs as Louisville moves to 23-5 for the year and 17-1 in the ACC. Georgia Tech was led by Teegan Van Gunst's 13 kills and 14 digs. UofL notched 13 blocks led by Clark's six.

Louisville battled back to tie it up at 9 all as the back and forth action continued. Maya McClendon scored to tie s back 25 all and Fairs had three straight kills to take the first set for Louisville 28-26.
Â
The second set was no different than the first as it was a back and forth battle between the two teams. GT scored four straight points to take an 11-9 lead before Clark scored from the middle to stop the Yellow Jacket run and eventually it was tied up at 12.. As the set neared the end and the back and forth action continued, Clark had to take away set point for GT and tie it at 25-25. Two straight kills by Janelle Jenkins gave the Cards the 27-25 win.
Â
The third set stayed before a kill by Clark sparked a 10-2 run, that included a pair of Jenkins aces, to take a commanding 13-4 lead. As the Cards were firmly in control and at set point with a 24-13 lead, Coach Anne Kordes subbed out his seniors to a standing ovation.
