
Taylor Bucklin Earns ACC Player of the Week Honors

Taylor Bucklin named ACC Co-Defender of the Week
LOUISVILLE, KY. - Louisville junior goalkeeper Taylor Bucklin was named ACC Co-Defender of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. It is the first ACC weekly honor for Bucklin.
Bucklin led the Cardinals to an undefeated week with a 2-1 overtime win over then No. 1 North Carolina and a scoreless draw against Duke. Bucklin finished the week with a 0.43 goals against average and 18 saves, including eight against the Tar Heels and 10 against the Blue Devils. She made two of her biggest saves of the weekend in the closing minutes of regulation against North Carolina, one on a free kick right outside the 18 yard box, and the other in the final minute to send the game to overtime.
Against Duke the junior keeper finished with a career-high 10 saves, including two in the second overtime period to preserve her fourth shutout of the season. For her efforts, the Greenwich, Connecticut native was also named TopDrawerSoccer.com's Player of the Week.
Bucklin has started in nine games for the Cardinals and owns a 5-3-1 record along with four shutouts. She has collected 53 saves on the year and owns a 0.75 goals against average.
