
Women's Soccer Adds Two Transfers

Louisville, Ky. - Head Coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes announced today that two transfers are enrolled in the spring semester at the University of Louisville. Taylor Bucklin a goalkeeper from Michigan and Aubrey Baker a midfielder from Maryland will be able to train with the team this spring before making their Louisville debut next fall.
"We're very happy to add both Taylor and Aubrey to our Louisville family," said Ferguson-Dayes. "Taylor had a very successful career at Michigan where she helped her team to an Elite Eight appearance as a true freshman. She also has International experience with Canada's youth National teams. Aubrey has played for a very successful club team in Southern California (Slammers) and her experiences in the ACC while she was at Maryland will absolutely help our team as we enter our second season in arguably the best conference in the country."
Bucklin, a Greenwich, Conn. native, set Michigan's single season goals against record with a .048 her freshman season. She also holds the career record in goals against average with a 0.64. She earned All-Big Team second team honors as a freshman. She started three games her sophomore season. She was also a member of the Canadian U-17 Women's National team. She was also a member of the Canadian 2012 CONCACAF U-17 Championship team and the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
Baker, a Foothill Ranch, Calif. native, finished her junior year at Maryland with one goal and two assists for four points. She finished with four goals and five assists in her three seasons at Maryland. She was the Offensive Player of the Year her senior year at Trabuco Hills. Played club soccer with the Slammers and helped them win the 2006 CalSouth National Cup Championship and runner-up finishes in 2010 and 2011.
