Women's Soccer Hosts Annual Media Day

Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes and several members of the Louisville women's soccer team met with reporters during the Cardinals' annual media day activities on Tuesday afternoon at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium.
Ferguson-Dayes, entering her 15th season leading the Louisville program, was joined by senior midfielder Erin Yenney, sophomore goalkeeper Paige Brown, and freshman midfield/defender Chatham DeProspo in previewing the 2014 season. The 2014 season with be the Cardinals' debut in the ACC and the opening of the nation's top collegiate soccer stadium, Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium.
Last season, the Cardinals advanced to their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance. Louisville finished the season with an overall record of 12-5-2 and finished with a league record of 7-1-0. The Cardinals graduated two-time Midfielder of the Year Charlyn Corral and 2014 AAC Offensive Player of the Year Christine Exeter.
Louisville enters the 2014 season with 12 returning letterwinners and 14 newcomers. The Cardinals begin the season on Aug. 22 at Wright State and then play on Aug. 24 at Illinois before opening the season at home against Ole Miss on Aug. 29.
