Volleyball Sends Four to National Team Tryouts

Four members of the University of Louisville volleyball team were selected to try out for a spot on U.S. Women's National Team and/or U.S. Collegiate National Teams program (formerly U.S. Women's Senior A2 Teams). Senior Caitlin Welch, sophomores Katie George and Roxanne McVey, and freshman Maya McClendon took part in the selection process this past weekend at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Former Olympian Karch Kiraly, the U.S. Women's National Team coach and his staff evaluated the participants, who competed against 248 of the best collegiate volleyball players from 106 colleges and universities across the country. Selected athletes will be notified by early March.
USA Volleyball will announce the selections by the end of March once all roster spots are accepted and confirmed.
