Cardinals Announce Spring Schedule

UofL will travel to Paradise for week of training and a pair of matches with the Rainbow Wahine
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville volleyball team released its spring schedule which includes a pair of games in Hawai'i as the Cardinals continue their training to prepare for the 2026 slate.

UofL will spend almost a week on the island of Oahu beginning March 7 and running through March 14.  While there, the Cards will compete in a two-match "Our Team, Hawai'i's Team" series with the University of Hawai'i as the headliner on the Rainbow Wahine spring schedule. The two teams will face off March 9 and March 10 and both matches will begin a 7 p.m. local time, 12 a.m. Eastern Time.

The Rainbow Wahine closed their farewell season in the Big West at 12-17 overall and 8-10 in conference play. They return eight letterwinners from the 2025 team including Big West All-Freshman team selection Cha'lei Reid .

After the Cards return from the islands, they will host Tennessee at 7:30, April 10 at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

Tennessee is coming off a 20-8 record and 10-5 in the SEC in 2025 under head coach Eve Rackham Watt. In addition to reaching the NCAA tournament for the fifth-straight season, UT also reached the semifinals in the return of the SEC Tournament. The Vols are led by Caroline Kerr, who earned AVCA All-American honors for the third-straight season.Â

Next, UofL will travel to Lexington to face in-state rival Kentucky at 6:30 p.m. on April 17. Kentucky fell to Texas A&M in the NCAA Volleyball national championship which ended a 27-game winning streak. UK (30-3) won a ninth consecutive Southeastern Conference title, going undefeated in league play

Louisville went 26-7 overall and 16-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference last season in Dan Meske's first year as head coach. The Cardinals advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 before falling to eventual national champion Texas A&M in five sets.
