SETTING THE STAGE
Louisville enters Saturday's match with an overall record of 4-5-1 and a league record of 1-1-1. Louisville played Miami to a 1-1 draw last Sunday afternoon in Coral Gables, Fla., earning a point in ACC play. Freshman Alison Price scored the equalizer in the 86th minute, forcing the overtime period. Neither team would be able to gain the advantage in overtime.
Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes is in her 15th season with the Cardinals. She has guided Louisville to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011. Under the direction of Ferguson-Dayes, Louisville has achieved double-digit wins in the last four consecutive seasons
SCOUTING DUKEDuke enters the match with an overall record of 6-5-0 and a league record of 2-1-0. Most recently the Blue Devils fell 2-0 to No. 2 Virginia Tech last Sunday. This was the first road loss of the season for the Duke Blue Devils. It also snapped the team's three-match win streak. Virginia Tech totaled a goal in the first minute of regulation; the second goal came in the 84th minute.
The Blue Devils are led in scoring by sophomore Toni Payne with four goals and four assists for 12 points. Senior Kelly Cobb ranks second in scoring with four points and two assists for 10 points. Redshirt junior Ali Kershner has collected 22 saves and holds a .759 goals against average. As a team, Duke averages 1.55 goals per game and 19.6 shots per game.
Head coach Robbie Church is in his 14th season with the Duke women's soccer program. Under his leadership, the Blue Devils have advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the third straight year and the fifth time in the last seven years.THE SERIES
The series between Louisville and Duke is tied 0-0-1. The last time the two teams met was in the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 10, 2006. The Cardinals lost to the Blue Devils 6-5 on penalty kicks.
The Cardinals will host North Carolina State on Oct. 9. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. at Lynn Stadium.
FRESHMAN HEAVY
Louisville has 12 freshmen on the roster. It is the biggest freshman class that Karen Ferguson-Dayes has signed at Louisville. The Cardinals currently have six freshmen in the starting lineup. Freshmen Inger Katrine Bjerke and Chatham DeProspo anchor the back line in the center back positions. Victoria Martinis plays midfield, while teammates Alison Price, Kaela Dickerman, and Isabella Hubuda run the office up top. So far this season eight freshmen have seen action on the field.

The ACC will continue its sportsmanship awareness campaign by recognizing Fall Sportsmanship Week from Sept. 29 - Oct. 5.
The Cardinals currently rank fifth in the nation in average attendance this season. The Cardinals are averaging 2,886 fans a match. The Cardinals record breaking crowd of 5,100 against Ole Miss ranks as the fifth largest crowd to see a women's soccer game this season.
Four freshmen lead the Cardinals in scoring this season. Forward Isabella Habuda leads the team with three goals for six points.
