Women's Soccer Concludes Spring with Scrimmages, Banquet

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville women's soccer program concluded its spring training last weekend with scrimmage action against Toledo and Ohio State while also hosting the annual year-end banquet.
On Saturday, the Cardinals played Toledo to a scoreless draw during a 45-minute scrimmage at the McDonald's practice field on the U of L campus. Louisville followed that with another 45-minute draw against Ohio State as senior goalkeeper Chloe Kiefer recorded the shutout in both halves of the Cards' final spring scrimmage action.
"Overall, I'm very happy with the way the spring ended for us and we're excited to start our preseason work and get the fall underway," said Louisville women's soccer head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes.
Louisville opened the weekend with the annual banquet on Friday night at the Brown & Williamson Club at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. While celebrating the Cardinals' BIG EAST regular season title and NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2011, the program also announced its team awards, which are listed below.
Offensive MVP: Christine Exeter
