LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville women's soccer program has announced the details of its 2012 summer camps. Led by head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes, the 2011 BIG EAST Conference Coach of the Year, the Cardinals will host four different summer camps in 2012. Information on each of camps is listed below and click on the brochure link at the top of this page.
- Future Cards Day Camp I: June 18-22, 9 am-Noon
- Future Cards Day Camp II: July 16-20, 9 am-Noon
The Future Cardinals Day Camp is open to any and all entrants ages 7-13 and is designed to provide young girls with the knowledge and skills to succeed in soccer within an exciting and fun-filled atmosphere. The camp will be held at the University of Louisville Soccer Stadium and adjacent practice field.
Our staff of University of Louisville Women's Soccer players and coaches are committed to helping educate the Louisville Community's future stars. Players will receive hands on instruction in the various technical skills of soccer while also receiving coaching within a game environment to help them see and understand the game. The energy and enthusiasm of our staff is sure to keep players smiling!
Schedule (Tentative)
9:00-9:45 am: Warmup Games/Exercises
9:45-10:45 am: Technical Skill Development
10:45-11:00 am: Snack Break
11:00 am-Noon: Games
Cost: The cost of the camp is $165, with a $50 deposit due with the application. Players registering before May 1st will receive a discounted admission price of $150. The cost of the camp includes instruction throughout the week and a Camp T Shirt for each player.
Registration: 8:00-9:00 am on first day at Cardinal Park Stadium.
Items to bring: Cleats, warmups, ball, shin guards, water bottle, sunscreen
- High School Kickoff Camp: July 18-21, 7 am-10 am
The High School Kickoff Camp is designed for TEAMS that are gearing up for the upcoming season by offering high level training, leadership training, group dynamic and teambuilding activities, as well as critical strength training and nutritional sessions that will help your team stay healthy through the rigors of the high school season. The staff is committed to challenging each team both on and off the field to help them come together as a group and be prepared to get the season started on the right foot.
Tentative Itinerary
7:00-9:00 am: Technical and Tactical Development/Small Sided GamesM
9:00-10:00 am: Strength/Endurance/Flexibility Training or Teambuilding/Leadership/Nutrition Session
Cost: TEAMS MUST REGISTER AS A GROUP, AND A $500 DEPOSIT IS DUE WITH REGISTRATION. The cost of the camp is $160 per player, and players will be required to pay the remainder of their costs at the first day of camp. All players will also be required to have a signed copy of the medical history form complete with proof of insurance in order to participate in the camp.
Registration: 6:45 am on July 18 at Cardinal Park Soccer Stadium.

- Summer Elite Camp: July 22, 9:30 am-4 pmbr> The Summer Elite Academy is designed to provide any players ages 13-18 with a one day advanced level training environment that will include on field technical and tactical sessions, as well as a compliance informational session and an introduction to strength and conditioning. The camp will be held at the University of Louisville Soccer Stadium and adjacent practice field. Space in this camp will be limited to ensure players receive individual attention.

Cost: The cost of the camp is $135 with a $50 deposit due with the application. Players registering before May 1st will receive a discounted admission price of $125.
