- The Cardinals have won five straight games, their longest winning streak since taking five straight from Feb. 27, 2011 to March 6, 2011.
- The 10 runs for the Cardinals are a season-high and their most since a 12-2 win over Pittsburgh on May 27, 2011 at the BIG EAST Championship.
- The Cardinals have scored seven or more runs in four straight games, their longest such streak since scoring seven or more in six straight (all wins) from April 11, 2010 to April 21, 2010.
- The 14 hits on Saturday are a season-high and their most overall since finishing with 14 hits in a 14-2 win over Notre Dame on May 19, 2011.
- Five different Cardinals had a stolen base marking the first time Louisville has stolen five bases in a game since swiping five at Georgetown on May 9, 2010.
- Four Louisville pitches combined for a season-high 14 strikeouts, the highest total overall since the Cardinals' had 14 at Western Kentucky on April 5, 2011.

- In his four starts at third base in the last four games, Ty Young is hitting .727 (8-for-11), including four extra-base hits, with five runs scored, one RBI and two stolen bases.
- Jeff Gardner has hit safely in all six Louisville games this season and with his second two-hit performance of the season, extended his career-best hitting streak to 10 games overall dating back to last season.
- With two hits each on Saturday, Adam Engel and Nick Ratajczak extended their hitting streaks to five games each.
- Atop the Cards' lineup in the leadoff position, Engel is hitting .444 with five runs scored, four RBI and four stolen bases while starting all six games in centerfield.
- While earning his second save of the season, Matt Koch also made his longest outing (2.2 innings) since he went 2.2 innings in relief at Seton Hall on May 7, 2011.
- Zak Wasserman hit his second home run of the season and the third of his career on Saturday.
- Koch's seven strikeouts (all looking) are the most for him since he sat down seven in 7.0 innings of work as a starter at Cincinnati on April 8, 2011.
- In a rare occurrence, Koch had four strikeouts in the eighth inning of Saturday's game. After Koch recorded the first two outs of the inning with strikeouts, Oakland's Aaron Cieslak struck out but reached base as the ball got away from Cards' catcher Kyle Gibson. Koch then struck out pinch hitter Spencer Marentette for the final out of the frame and his fourth strikeout of the inning.
