CAPE COD, Mass. - University of Louisville pitchers Justin Amlung and Matt Koch were named on Friday to the rosters for next week's 49th annual Cape Cod League All-Star Game at Fenway Park in Boston.
Amlung, a right-hander from Louisville's St. Xavier High School, will represent the West squad, while Koch, a right-hander from Cherokee, Iowa, will play for the East team. The game is scheduled for a 7:07 p.m., ET first pitch on July 29 and will be played at historic Fenway Park for the third straight season.
In his most recent start on July 20, Amlung earned his third win of the summer for the Wareham Gatemen after allowing two runs on just three hits with six strikeouts in 6.0 innings in a 4-3 victory over the Chatham Anglers. In seven starts this summer, Amlung is 3-1 with a 1.76 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched.
