LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville announced the Cardinal baseball team's 2011 radio and internet broadcast schedule on Tuesday.
For the third straight season, KOOL 1570 AM will be the radio home for Louisville baseball with 36 regular-season games and all post-season games scheduled for broadcast by the Clarksville, Ind., station. The radio schedule includes 29 of 30 home games, the three-game BIG EAST series at Cincinnati on April 8-10, the annual showdown at rival Kentucky in Lexington on April 26, the three-game conference series at Connecticut on May 13-15 and all of the Cardinals' BIG EAST Championship and NCAA Championship games.
The Cardinals will once again have a strong presence on the internet as fans can follow every game of the 2011 season through CardsTV at UofLSports.com. Live streaming video will be available for 21 of the Cards' home games at Jim Patterson Stadium, while live streaming audio will be available for all other regular-season and post-season games. CardsTV memberships are available for just $9.95 per month.
As announced last week, the Louisville baseball team will also have six home games televised in 2011, including two nationally as CBS College Sports will visit Jim Patterson Stadium for the first time ever when the network televises the final two games of the Louisville-Notre Dame BIG EAST Conference series on May 20-21. Along with the two national telecasts, Louisville will also have four other home games - April 12 vs. Kentucky, April 21 vs. USF, May 10 vs. Vanderbilt and May 19 vs. USF - televised live throughout the state of Kentucky by Wazoo Sports Network.
Louisville will open the 2011 season at the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Feb. 18-20. The Cardinals' home schedule will begin with a three-game series against Toledo on Feb. 25-27 at Jim Patterson Stadium.
