Exeter Named to TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Freshman Christine Exeter of the Louisville women's soccer team was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week after her performance last week.

Exeter, a forward from Pickering, Ont., scored two goals, including the game-winner, in last Thursday's 3-1 win over Cincinnati in the BIG EAST Conference opener for both teams. It was the second two-goal performance of the season for Exeter, who leads Louisville (7-1-0, 1-0-0 BIG EAST) with six goals overall.

It marks the second time this season a Louisville player has earned recognition from TopDrawerSoccer.com as sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Vancil was the Player of the Week on Aug. 30.

Up next, the nationally ranked Louisville women's soccer team returns to BIG EAST Conference road game at DePaul on Friday at 4 p.m. ET in Chicago, Ill.
