No. 23 Women's Soccer Welcomes Toledo on Friday Night

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 23rd-ranked Louisville women's soccer team will host Toledo on Friday at 7 p.m., ET at Cardinal Park in the first of two straight home games for the Cardinals.

Louisville enters the non-conference game at 3-0 overall after winning last weekend's Gamecock Courtyard Cup in Columbia, S.C. The Cardinals defeated then-No. 13 South Carolina and Bucknell for their best start since the 2007 season. Toledo enters Friday's game at 3-1 after home wins last weekend over Morehead State and Youngstown State.

Friday's game will be the first ever meeting between Louisville and Toledo on the soccer pitch.

Following Friday's game, Louisville will host rival Kentucky in the "Battle of the Bluegrass" on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. ET at Cardinal Park. The game will be televised nationally by FOX Soccer Channel and fans are encouraged to wear red for the "Red Out" promotion.
