LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's soccer program's free clinics last week were a huge success with more than 200 youth soccer players participating.
The turnout included players ranging from U8-U14 from clubs and recreation leagues from throughout the community. Along with this week's clinics, Louisville will have had approximately 275 youth players participate. After one of the clinics, the Louisville players took the time to pose for pictures and sign autographs with all of the kids in attendance.
"We take great pride in our community outreach opportunities and our players set great examples as role models for these young girls who are aspiring soccer players in our community," said Louisville head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes. "It is important for these young women to see positive female role models who have achieved their own dreams of becoming collegiate student-athletes. We thank all of the youth players that came to our clinic and we appreciate the opportunity to give back to a community that has given us so much."
