
Women's Soccer Works Into Spring Slate

The University of Louisville women's soccer team has four more dates remaining on its spring schedule. The team completed its first spring event in February at the University of Illinois in a 7 on 7 tournament involving two club teams, Oakland University, the host school and the Cards.
"The spring games are equally as important as the fall schedule when you have a young team," said Head Coach Karen Ferguson. "This is an opportunity for players who did not get quality minutes in the fall, a chance to see more extended game action."
The Cardinal team was 4-13-0(2-8-0) on the 2001 season, posting the most victories in four years, and winning it's first Conference USA game since 1997. U of L returns 14 players from the 2001 squad, and will be competing in the following events this spring,
