As a senior (2020-21): Finished the season with an overall record of 6-9 in single dual match play at the team’s No. 1 spot … In doubles, he was primarily paired with Sergio Hernandez, finishing with an overall record of 8-5 … Against No. 1 North Carolina, Chen and Hernandez defeated UNC’s doubles duo 6-4, giving the Cards the edge in the match … Ranked highest of No. 71 in the ITA singles rankings and No. 89 in the ITA doubles rankings… Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll... Finished the fall ranked No. 42 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings... At ASA Miami JC: Spent two seasons at ASA Miami Junior College where he helped the Silver Storm to the 2017 NJCAA national championship and a runner-up finish in 2018…Finished second in the country in both singles and doubles as the flight 1 runner-up in the National Junior College Athletic Association in 2018. At the end of his freshman season, Chen was ranked No. 9 in doubles and helped his team win the national title at flight No. 2. He also finished at No. 30 in singles after winning at No. 4 in the finals… Prior to enrolling at ASA Miami, he was rated third Taiwan U18 rankings and reached as high as No. 99 in ITF juniors
