LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis announces the signing of Jerald Carroll who will join the Cardinals' roster this coming January to fill the final spot of the eight-man team.

"We are so happy to have Jerald this coming spring," said head coach Rodrigo da Silva. "He is a young player with incredible potential. Coach [Chris] Morin-Kougoucheff and I are super excited to start working with him and take his tennis to new heights."
Carroll is a native of Freeport, Bahamas, but has spent the majority of his junior playing career in the United States. He most recently attended Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Fla.Â
According to Tennis Recruting Network, Carroll is a five-star recruit, is ranked 14th in the state of Florida and is ranked 16th in the southeast region.Â
He is currently ranked at No. 281 in the ITF junior rankings and has been as high as No. 271 on October 20, 2025. The Bahamas native holds a 19-8 record in ITF-sanctioned competitions.Â
Carroll was a triple crown winner at the Bahamas Junior National Tennis Championships in 2023, meaning he won the under-16 boys singles, under-18 boys singles and under-18 boys doubles competition. In 2022, he paired up with Jackson Mactaggart to win the JITIC Doubles Championship in Cancun.
While representing Team Bahamas, Carroll won both his singles matches and one doubles match in the prequalifiers for World Tennis Juniors.Â
