Sophomore: In her first collegiate year of competition, Lauren Herich added depth in the distance events for the Cardinals. Dual meet highlights include, a third place finish in the 1000-free against Xavier, going 10:29.48. Herich recorded her season-best time with a third place finish in 5:07.30 in the 500-freestyle event against Cincinnati. She finished fourth against Xavier with a time of 5:09.26 in the 500- free.

Freshman: She red-shirted as a freshman. .

Prep: Lauren Herich is a Kentucky native of Hebron, where she was home-schooled with Strong Oaks Academy and swam for Northern Kentucky Clippers. Herich is best recognized for having the ninth fastest time in the 1650- freestyle for 17 year old girls in the nation. In 2011 Herich placed 28th in the Open Water Nationals, and in 2012 finished 4th in the NCSA Junior Nationals in the 1650- freestyle.
