Junior: During the BIG EAST Championships, Kenny competed in the 100- and 200-breast as well as the 50-free. Among his efforts were third-place finishes, coming in the 100-breast (54.08) and 200-breast (1:57.17). Both of these times were good enough to make the national B-cut. The achievements also made him a two-time All-BIG EAST performer. He had some strong regular season showings at the Purdue Invitational as well against Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, and Indiana. He had a fourth-place finish at the Purdue Invitational in the 200-breast with a time of 2:05.95. Crapse had a nice performance against Cincinnati, earning a second-place finish in the 50-free with a time of 21.35. Against Virginia Tech and Indiana, Crapse was able to finish third in the 200-breast with a time of 2:03.77.
Sophomore: Kenneth finalled in two breast stroke events in the BIG EAST championship, with two seventh place finishes. In the 100-breast, he finished in 56.28 and in the 200-breast, he finished with a time of 2:02.15.
Freshman: As a freshman, Kenny qualified for the BIG EAST. One of the highlights of the season came when Kenny swam the second leg in the 4x100 Medley Relay that the Cardinals won with a time of 3:44.63 at the World Trials.
Prep: Kenny came to the Cardinals from Columbus, Ind. where he swam at Columbus East for Dave Fribley and for the Donner Swim Club for Jim Sheridan. He was named all-conference in 2007 and 2008 and a Sectional champ in the 200-IM, the 100-free and 100-breast. Named team captain, he was a three-time team MVP. He was a Junior National Qualifier in the 100-breast. He was also recruited by College of Charleston and Miami.
