Junior: Eszter continued to show her strength in the backstroke events as a junior. At the BIG EAST Championships, she competed in the 100- and 200- backstroke and 100-fly individually, as well as the 800-free relay and 400-medley relay. Eszter placed sixth in the 100-fly in 54.69 and was the BIG EAST Champion in the 100-back in 54.25 on a tough double day. In the 200-back, she placed fourth in 1:57. 86. As the anchor leg in the 800-free relay that placed fourth, she split 1:48.00 and as the lead off leg in the 400-medley relay that placed second, she split 54.35. Eszter was named a two-time All BIG EAST Performer. In dual meet action, she earned a second place finish in the 100-back against Indiana and a first place finished in the 200-free against in-state rival Kentucky.
Sophomore: Eszter competed in multiple events during the BIG EAST Championships, including the 800-free relay, the 100-fly, and the 100- and 200-back. She swam the third leg for the 800-free relay team and helped it to a first-place finish, earning a split time of 1:48.32, the third fastest of the field. The team won with a time of 7:11.10 and made the national B-cut. Eszter took second place and set new school records in both the 100- and 200-back with times of 53.82 and 1:55.75, making the national B-cut for both events. She also swam the 100-fly in 55.15, resulting in a seventh-place finish. Eszter finished the year as a three-time All-BIG EAST performer.
Freshman: Eszter was named to the Hungarian National Team last summer and competed in the European Championships. She made her mark quickly as a freshman when she was named All-BIG EAST. In the BIG EAST, she competed in the 200-medley relay, where she swam the backstroke leg in 26.14 for an overall time of 1:39.44, earning the team 2nd place and qualifying them for the nation B cut. She also swam the 100-backstroke finishing in 55.85 and earning her seventh place in the A-final. She scored points in the B-final of the 200-back with a time of 2:00.05.
Prep: Eszter joined the Cardinal swimming program from Dunakeszi, Hungary. She is a both sprinter and a backstroker with a wealth of international experience. Prior to coming to U of L, her lifetime best in the 50m-free was 26.76 and 57.96 in the 100m-free. She also posted lifetime bests in the 100-m back of 1:02.66 and went 2:18.16 in the 200m-back.
