2024-25: Mia Cheatwood, a junior breaststroke swimmer for the University of Louisville, had a notable 2024-2025 season. At the 2025 ACC Championships in Greensboro, NC, Cheatwood tied for sixth place in the championship final of the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.68. In the preliminary round of the 100 breaststroke, she swam a time of 59.73. She also participated in the 400 medley relay, swimming the breaststroke leg with a split of 59.69, contributing to the team's fifth-place finish with a time of 3:30.73. She made the B-final of the 200 breast, finishing 11th with a 2:09.31. At the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington, Cheatwood swam the breaststroke leg in the 400 freestyle relay, splitting 59.29. The Louisville team finished in 16th place with a time of 3:27.76. Individually, Cheatwood swam the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.14 and the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:08.73. During the dual meet season, in a meet against Cincinnati, Cheatwood won the 200 breast with a time of 2:09.12. In the same meet, she was part of the Louisville team that won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:18.19 and was on the fourth place 200 medley relay team with a time of 1:24.34. Versus Kentucky, she was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.17). Against Indiana, Cheatwood won the 200 breaststroke (2:08.07) and the 100 breast (58.96.
In the meet against Missouri, Cheatwood took first place in the 100 breaststroke (59.91), and was second the 200 breaststroke (2:09.82).2023-24: She qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in the 200-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard breaststroke and set a new program record in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.73) at the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. She set the program record in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:09.13) at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships and also set the program record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.08) at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships. She earned a bronze medal in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships, placed fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.60) at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships and placed eighth in the 200-yard IM (2:01.04) at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships. She was part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that placed fifth at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships (1:31.60) and was part of the 200-yard medley relay team that placed seventh at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships (1:41.38). She was part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that placed eighth at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships (3:24.08) and won two individual events against Villanova/Iowa State (100-yard breaststroke (1:01.15) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:11.92). She was part of two relay teams that won against Villanova/Iowa State (200-y.ard medley (1:41.37) and the 400-yard freestyle (3:25.09) as well as winning two individual events against Pitt (100-yard breaststroke (1:03.92) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.00). She placed second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.01) against Pitt. She won two individual events at the WVU Invitational (100-yard breaststroke (1:00.46) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:10.60) and placed second in the 200-yard individual medley (1:59.98.)

Against Cincinnati, she won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.09) and placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.82) while being part of the 200-yard medley relay (1:42.57) team that finished second the Bearcats. Against Penn State, she won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.39) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.69) and was part of the relay team that placed first against Penn State (400-yard medley). She was named First Team All-Big 12, Second Team All-Big 12, named as the College Sports Communicators 2023-24 Academic All-District Team and was a 2024 Winter Academic All-Big 12 First Team
2022-23: As a freshman, Mia earned All-Big 12 First Team honors as well as All Big 12 Second Team and was a CSCAA Qualifier. She was a Three-time Big 12 Women’s Newcomer of the Week and a Student-Athlete of the Week. She set a program record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.56) at th2023 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships and broke two program records with the 200 free relay team (1:30.94) and the 200 medley relay team (1:39.43). At CSCAAs, she finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.82), before finishing first in the 200 breaststroke. Additionally, Mia broke the 100 breaststroke record earlier in the season at the WVU Invite with a time of 1:00.56.
High School: She Attended St. Ursula Academy and swam for coach Dave Eisenstein and Competed for the Greater Toledo Aquatic Club under coach Brent Ransom. She was the 2021-22 St. Ursula Academy Team Captain and a Two-time Three Rivers Conference Most Valuable Swimmer. She was a Junior National Qualifier, four-time All-District and three-time All-Ohio and a 2021-22 All-American. She was a St. Ursula Academy Record Holder in the 100 breast, 100 free and the 200 medley relay.
