Junior: Lucy Kramer adds depth to the formidable breaststroke corps at the Ville. She finished 22nd at the ACC Championship in the 100-breast, with a 1:03.20. She also made the C-final where she finished in 6th place in 200-breast with 2:17.35 also at the ACCs. Dual meet season highlights include being part of the winning 200-medley relay team versus Xavier with a second leg split of 29.55. At that meet she was second in the 100-breast and third in the 200-breast. At the Michigan Quad meet, she was eighth in the 100-breast with a 1:05.09. She won the 200-breast versus Cincinnati with a 2:21.13 and was first in the 100-breast as well with a 1:05.01. She touched second at the Louisville Invitational with a 1:02.76 in the 100-breast. She was eighth at Kentucky in the 200-IM with a 2:10.63. At the Arena Pro Series in Charlotte, she was 32nd in the 50-meter breaststroke with a 34.94.
Sophomore: As a sophomore, Kramer competed at the AAC Championships with a seventh place finish in the 100-breast in 1:03.39 and an eighth place finish in the 200-breast in 2:19.55. She kicked off the season with a victory in the 100-breast against Xavier in a time of 1:05.65. She placed second in the 100-breast against Georgia Tech in a time of 1:06.29 while placing third in the 200-breast at 2:24.08. Kramer added two third place finishes in the 100-breast against Indiana and Tennessee.
Freshman: As a freshman, Lucy Kramer competed at the BIG EAST Championships as an exhibition swimmer. Kramer swam the 100-breaststroke in a 1:05.28, the 200-breaststroke in 2:23.62, and the 200-IM in 2:07.85. Kramer swam season-best times at the Purdue Invite in the 100- and 200-breaststroke in 1:04.90 and 2:20.65 placing her 10th and 9th respectively. She also swam the breaststroke leg of the 200-medley relay that placed second. Kramer was chosen as one of eight Cardinals to compete at the SMU Classic where she took 6th place in the 100-breaststroke in 1:06.33, the 200-breaststroke in 2:26.40, and swam the breaststroke leg of the 200- and 400-medley relays that took 6th. At the Xavier dual meet, Kramer won the 200-breaststroke in 2:20.92 and placed second in the 100-breaststroke.
Prep: Lucy Kramer comes to the Cardinals from the Carmel (Ind.) Swim Club where she is coached by Chris Plumb. Carmel has won the Indiana State high school meet 26 years in a row. Her many swimming accomplishments include being a three-time Indiana High School State Champion and a 2011 National Champion. She qualified for junior nationals. She won age group state and senior state. Her activities involved in several extracurricular programs including the food drive, Relay for Life, and "Operation Water Safety" where she works with underprivileged children.
