Junior: Brennan has shown steady improvement during his career as a Cardinal. He scored 23 points at ACC Championships last year, finishing 8th in the B-final of the 100-breast (54.65), and 7th in the B-final of the 200-breast (1:58.10). He also qualified in the 200-IM. He swam medley relays as well for the Cardinal Relay squads throughout the dual season. At the US Open Championships, he was on the sixth place 4 x 100 medley relay squad, splitting 1:05.04 helping the Cards to a 3:45.28. At the Arena Pro Series in Indy, he finaled in the 100-meter breast, finishing 15th with a 1:04.85. He was 12th in the 200-meter breast final with a 2:20.75. In Charlotte, he finalled in the 200-meter breast with a 2:23.53.

Sophomore: Brennen Berger adds depth to the formidable breaststroke corps at the Ville. His dual season highlights included a first place in the 200-medley relay against Xavier. Against Cincinnati, he was fourth in the 200-breast and fifth in the 100-breast. At the Louisville Invitational, he made the finals in the 50-free with a 21.57 and was seventh overall in the 100-breast with a 55.81 in the finals. At USA Short Course Nationals, he was 23rd in the 100-breast with a 55.16. At the USA National Championship, he competed in the 200-meter breast with a 2:20.29 and was a part of the 14th place 4x100-meter Medley relay, swimming the second leg in 1:02.67. At the Arena Pro Series in Charlotte, he competed in the 50-, 100- and 200-meter breaststroke.

Freshman: Brennen contributed to the breaststroke group, swimming the 100- and 200-breaststroke throughout the year, as well as the same stroke on numerous relays. Brennen had his best meet at Indiana, where he recorded his top regular-season times. He went 55.85 in the 100-breast and 2:00.53 in the 200-breast where he placed third. Against UK, he posted a top time of 1:54.74 in the 200-IM. At AAC’s, he was able to drop both breaststroke times to 55.60 in the 100 and 1:59.13 in the 200, which was a B-cut. He went a 1:50.88 in the 200-IM.

Prep: Brennen Berger is from Carmel, Indiana where he attended Carmel High School, and competed for Carmel Swim Club. Berger holds the Indiana state record in the 200- breaststroke, and has earned multiple All- American recognitions.
