TEAM NOTES
- UofL is 63-44-2 in its 109 all-time ACC series (one series ended 1-1, one ended 1-1-1) since joining the league and is 71-35-1 in its series finales during that span, including a 25-21-1 record in rubber games.
- The Cardinals have picked up the pace on the basepaths in the last two weeks, swiping at least three bases in 10 of the last 15 games and 52 overall during that span.
PLAYER NOTES
- Tague Davis set the Louisville freshman home run record with 18 long balls in his first season. He has blown past that total as a sophomore with 26 through 45 games, breaking Louisville's single-season record. Davis enters the weekend as the national leader in homers and RBIs. He also ranks second in slugging percentage and total bases, leading the ACC both. Davis recorded his third and fourth multi-homer games of the season during the Cal series, including the first three-homer game of his career.
- Lucas Moore led the country with 53 stolen bases as a sophomore, the second-highest total in program history. He heads into Tuesday 31-for-36 this season, leading the ACC and ranking ninth nationally. Moore now has 101 career stolen bases, second on Louisville's career chart. He is currently 11 behind Boomer Whiting for the top spot. Moore has also moved into sixth place all-time among ACC players.
- Jimmy Nugent transferred to Louisville after tallying 22 doubles, 18 home runs and 74 RBIs in two seasons at Lincoln Trail. The junior saw his batting average dip to .287 following the Stanford series, the lowest it had been since the season's opening month. Nugent has caught fire over the last two weeks though, going 16-for-30 (.533) with three doubles, five homers, 13 RBIs and eight walks in his last eight games. That stretch has raised his average up to .347 and he capped off Louisville's weekend sweep of Clemson with a walk-off two-run homer, his second long ball of the day.
