LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville baseball team hosts Clemson for a three-game series beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. ET. The Saturday and Sunday games will be televised on the ACC Network. Radio coverage all weekend will be available on 93.9 The Ville.
CARDS WIN BATTLE OF THE BLUEGRASS
Louisville picked up a 14-10 victory over Kentucky in the second Battle of the Bluegrass contest of the spring. Zion Rose homered and drove in three, while Bayram Hot hit a two-run homer in the victory.
LOUISVILLE SHOWING PATIENCE AT PLATE
In Tuesday's win over Kentucky, the Cardinals matched a program record since at least 2000 with 14 walks drawn. The Cards have nearly the same number of walks and HBPs (281) as they have strikeouts (293).
CLEMSON SERIES HISTORY
Louisville is 16-24 all-time against the Tigers with a 16-18 record since joining the ACC in 2015. The Cardinals are 8-4 against Clemson at Jim Patterson Stadium, including three-game sweeps in 2016 and 2022.
TEAM NOTES
DAVIS PUTTING TOGETHER RECORD-SETTING SOPHOMORE SEASON
Tague Davis was special as a freshman in 2025, setting Louisville's freshman home run record with 18 and earning Freshman All-America honors. However, his game has gone to another level this spring.
Davis enters the weekend with 24 home runs and 73 RBIs. The 24 long balls are just one shy of the Louisville single-season record set by Chris Dominguez in 2009 and Randy Delph in 1974.
His 73 RBIs are the most by a Louisville player since Ryan Wright had 80 in 2010 and just 15 shy of the single-season mark with 15 games remaining in the regular season.
CARDS CLOSING IN ON CENTURY MARK IN STOLEN BASES AGAIN
Louisville has been among the best teams in the country on the basepaths since Dan McDonnell was hired in 2007.
This season is no exception, as the Cards rank top 25 nationally with 96 stolen bases as a team. With four more, Louisville will reach the century mark for the 11th time in the last 13 full seasons.
Lucas Moore leads the ACC with 27 stolen bases on the season, while Zion Rose is a perfect 14-for-14 despite having started only 19 games. Bayram Hot has added a career high 13 steals in 15 attempts.
