Gorbenko, Dennis Set to Compete in Finals After Day 4 Prelims at NCAAs

Gorbenko heads to 200 IM final, while Dennis earns spot in 100 free final
ATLANTA – University of Louisville swimmers Anastasia Gorbenko and Julia Dennis and the 400 free relay team will compete for UofL in tonight's finals action at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
Saturday's prelims competition began with the 200 IM, where Gorbenko earned the fifth overall seed in tonight's finals after a time of 1:53.96. Summer Cardwell took second in her heat, beating her seed time with a 1:57.12.
In the 100 free, Dennis punched her ticket to the finals for the second year in a row, securing the sixth overall seed after recording a personal-best time of 46.69. Sophomore Caroline Larsen claimed Honorable Mention All-American honors with a 10th place time of 47.19. Freshman Julie Mishler took third in her heat at 48.02, and Daria Golovaty tied for third in her heat at 48.36.
Tonight's finals action is slated for 6 p.m. ET, with live results available on the Meet Mobile app and DiveMeets. The meet will also be streamed on ESPN+.
Divers Samm Helmboldt and Samantha Keith will compete on the platform, with prelims competition continuing this afternoon.
