Cards and Bearcats will meet Thursday at noon
The University of Louisville lacrosse team will hit the road for a non-conference matchup at Cincinnati Thursday at noon. Â

OPENING DRAW
• Louisville enters the week with a 3-4 overall record and a 1-3 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play. Most recently, the Cards defeated Florida State 15-5 on March 4. The contest completed a three-game home stand for Louisville who went 2-1 in that stretch.
• The Cardinals are led offensively by sophomore Ella Berg who has 23 points (18G, 5A) following a three-goal performance against Florida State. The sophomore has scored at least one goal in every game this season and has registered at least three goals on four different occasions.
• Junior Reese Whiteman follows closely with 21 points (17G, 4A), she has scored at least one goal in her last eight games, dating back to April 17, 2025.
• Sophomore Charlotte Jackson has 13 goals and is tied for the team-lead with six assists.
• Sophomore Haley Richards leads the nation and the ACC with 92 saves and saves per game (13.14). She also paces the league with a .532 save percentage and stands fifth nationally in that category.
• Richards collected a school record 19 stops in the 15-5 win over Florida State - the most by any ACC goalie in the 2026 season. She has registered double digit saves in six of Louisville's seven contests this season. The sophomore has 99 career stops, needing one more to reach 100 and become the 10th player in program history to notch at least 100 saves.
• Sophomore Olivia Scroggie leads the team with 57 draw controls, standing second in the ACC and 19th in the nation with 8.14 draw controls per game.
• Scroggie currently has 130 draw controls in her career, becoming the ninth player in program history to reach the century mark. She currently stands eighth on UofL's all-time list.
• Junior Cate Kangas paces the team with 18 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. She stands fourth in the ACC in ground balls per game (2.57) and ninth in caused turnovers per game (1.86).
• After losing eight seniors to graduation in 2025, Louisville fields a young roster with 11 freshmen and eight sophomores to go along with seven seniors and six juniors.
• Head coach Scott Teeter is in his ninth season at the helm. He sits at 196-205 in his 24th season as a head coach, with a 51-87 mark at UofL.

SCOUTING CINCINNATI
• Cincinnati's (7-3, 0-0 BIG 12) last time out was a 16-9 victory over Eastern Michigan.
• Cincinnati comes into the contest riding a three-game winning streak (Mount St. Mary's, Kent State and Eastern Michigan).
• In the Bearcats' game against EMU, sophomore Morgan Handzel tied an NCAA record by recording 24 draw control victories. Handzel has 115 draw controls on the year.
• Attacker Paige Selhorn leads the Cincinnati offense, having registered 32 goals and 30 assists so far this season.
• The trio of Payton Kozina (19G), Lexie Wolfe (18G), and Alyse Keels (17G) are all closely grouped together for second, third and fourth on the team in goals.
• Bella Kerr and Emma Miekle have split time in goal this year for Cincinnati. Kerr leads the Bearcats between the pipes with nine starts, a team-high 46 saves and four wins. Miekle has 36 saves and one start.
