LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse team will hit the road for Chapel Hill, N.C. on Sunday to face top-ranked and defending national champion North Carolina inside Dorrance Field for a 12 p.m. ET start.

OPENING DRAW
• The Cards (1-2, 0-1 ACC) come into the game after securing their first victory of the season, in a 9-5 win over Kent State at UofL Lacrosse Stadium on Wednesday.
• The Cardinals are led offensively by junior Reese Whiteman who has 10 points and nine goals, opening the season with three against Ohio State, following with four against Virginia Tech and most recently scoring two against Kent State.
• Sophomore Ella Berg stands second on the team with seven goals after achieving her second straight hat trick against Kent State.
• Sophomore Charlotte Jackson's has six goals on the season, finding the back of the net in all three games. She has already matched her career single season high after registering six as a freshman last year.
• Sophomore Haley Richards has played every minute in goal and has amassed 42 saves for the Cardinals.
• Richards collected 16 stops in her first collegiate start, season-opener against OSU. The mark is tied for sixth on Louisville's all-time single-game list. She followed that performance with 10 saves at Virginia Tech. Then the Moraga, Calif. native posted another 16 save effort against the Golden Flashes to tie her personal best.
• Sophomore Olivia Scroggie leads the team with 18 draw controls in the early 2026 campaign. Last year, she collected 73 draw controls last season, standing tied for eighth on Louisville's single-season list. She currently has 91 in her career.
• After losing eight seniors to graduation in 2025, Louisville fields a young roster with 11 freshmen and eight sophomores to go along with seven seniors and six juniors.
• Head coach Scott Teeter is in his ninth season at the helm. He sits at 194-205 in his 24th season as a head coach, with a 49-85 mark at UofL.
