This is the third tournament of the fall for the Cards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team continues the fall season as it heads down to Arkansas for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. Held at the Blessings Golf Club, the Cardinals are one of 10 women's teams competing this weekend in the split tournament with 10 men's teams as the Louisville men's program is also competing this week. The three-day tournament begins on Monday morning from Fayetteville.
This is the third time in the last four seasons the Cardinals will compete in the Blessings. Last season, the Cardinals placed eighth overall and they were ninth back in 2022. This week, the Cardinals will have the same five players they have used in both of the previous two fall tournaments.
Bailey Burkett and Veronika Exposito lead the Cards with a 71.83 scoring average through the first two tournaments of the fall. Exposito was one of three Cardinals under par at the Sam Golden Invitational as she finished tied for 12th at 6-under-par. Burkett led the Cardinals at the Mason Rudolph Championship and finished a team-best tied for 13th overall.
Thienna Huynh led the Cards at the Sam Golden Invitational, shooting a career-best 7-under-par 209 for the tournament and finished tied for eighth overall. Madison Moman has competed in both tournaments in her freshman season and carded a Top 20 finish at the Sam Golden, when she finished tied for 19th overall. Millie Cottrell's best finish of the young season came at the Mason Rudolph, where she finished tied for 54th overall.
The Cardinals will begin the first round off of Hole No. 1 at 9:30 a.m. ET on Monday. All five players will play the course together in the same group as part of the Blessings format. Fans can follow the live stats here or on our social media channels.
