Women’s Golf Finish Sixth at Boilermaker Classic

Amy Hodgkins tallied a Top-15 finish in her first tournament with the Cardinals
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Louisville women's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the fall on Tuesday after the final round of the Boilermaker Classic. The Cardinals moved up the leaderboard with their best round of the tournament and finished sixth overall after a final round 9-over-par. They finished the tournament 36-over-par 900.
It was a competitive final round for the Cards as the four scorers for the team shot between 1 and 3 over par for the final round. Bailey Burkett had her best round of the tournament with a 1-over-par 73 with two birdies. She finished tied for 58th overall at 17-over-par 233.
Millie Cottrell also shot her best round of the tournament in the final round on Tuesday. She was 2-over-par 74 with three birdies for the afternoon. Cottrell finished tied for 50th overall at 15-over-par 231.
Amy Hodgkins was the highest individual finisher for the Cardinals as she finished tied for 13th overall at 4-over-par 220. She shot 3-over-par 75 in the final round on Tuesday. Veronika Exposito also shot a 3-over-par 75 in the final round with two birdies. She finished tied for 40th overall at 12-over-par 228 for the tournament.
Madison Moman shot 4-over-par 76 in the final round with two birdies. She finished tied for 30th overall for the tournament with a 10-over-par 226.
Isabella Anderson rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals on Tuesday. She had a 7-over-par 79 in the final round to finish tied for 44th overall at 14-over-par 230.
The Cardinals will be back in action in a few weeks for their next tournament. They will head down I-65 for the Mason Rudolph Championship, which will take place September 18-20. Hosted by Vanderbilt, the tournament will be held in Franklin, Tennessee at the Legends Club.
