Women’s Golf in Ninth After Two Rounds of Boilermaker Classic

Amy Hodgkins is tied for eighth overall at 1-over-par
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Louisville women's golf team is sitting in ninth place overall after the first two rounds of the Boilermaker Classic on Monday. The Cardinals were consistent on Monday as they shot a 14-over-par 302 in the first round and a 13-over-par 301 in the second and are ninth out of 16 teams heading into the final round.
Senior transfer Amy Hodgkins led the way for the Cardinals on the first day of the regular season. In the second round, she fired a team-best 1-under-par 71 with four birdies and was the only Cardinal to shoot under par for the day.
She is tied for ninth overall at 1-over-par 145 heading into the final round. In the first round, Hodgkins led the way for the team scorers with a 2-over-par 74. She had two birdies on the round.
Isabella Anderson had the best overall score from the first round with a 1-under-par 73 in her first collegiate round. She had four birdies on the round, all on the front nine holes. She is competing as an individual and is tied for 32nd overall after a 7-over-par 79 in the second round.
Madison Moman and Veronika Exposito both carded a 3-over-par 75 in the opening round. Exposito tallied four birdies over the first 18 holes while Moman had three of her own. Moman followed it up with a 3-over-par 75 in the second round with three more birdies and is tied for 26th overall. Exposito is tied for 43rd overall after a 6-over-par 78 in the second round.
Bailey Burkett and Millie Cottrell rounded the Cardinals out in the first round. Burkett shot a 6-over-par 78 while Cottrell had an 8-over-par 80 in the opening round. Cottrell rebounded with a 5-over-par 77 in the second round and is tied for 60th overall. Burkett is tied for 76th overall after a 10-over-par 82 in the second round.
