Cardinals Close Homestand with Miami

The Cardinals are currently 8-0 at home this season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's soccer team (9-2-0, 2-1-0 ACC) is closing out its three-game homestand this week with another ACC matchup. The Cardinals will host the Miami Hurricanes (6-3-1, 0-2-0 ACC) on Thursday, September 25 from Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. The Cardinals and Hurricanes will square off at 7 p.m. ET and it will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra.
The Cardinals have continued their strong play at home after the 1-0 win over Clemson last Friday. Louisville is a perfect 8-0 in home games this season and has had great production from the offense and defense in those games.
Offensively, the Cardinals have tallied 38 goals across the eight games and have a +36 goal differential at home. Defensively, they have had a clean sheet in six-straight home games and have only allowed goals in one of the eight games. The Cardinals have not allowed a goal at home since August 24 against Wright State.
Overall, the Cardinals continue to have one of the best offenses in the country. Louisville leads the NCAA in goals (39), assists (45), points (123) and goal differential (+33). Sophomore Amelia Swinarski leads the country with nine assists and is tied for the NCAA lead in points with 23. She leads the team with seven goals, which is tied for fourth in the ACC and 15th nationally. Liza Suydam has six assists, which is tied for third in the ACC and tied for 13th nationally. Erynn Floyd is tied for the ACC lead and tied for fourth nationally with six shutouts on the year.
Miami enters Friday's match with a 6-3-1 overall record and are 0-2-0 in ACC play. This will be the 11th meeting between the two schools and Louisville leads the all-time series 7-2-1. The Cards have won six of the last seven meetings against the Hurricanes and are 4-0 all-time in games played in Louisville. This will be the first meeting in Louisville since 2022, when the Cards defeated the Hurricanes 1-0 on Sept. 17.
