Trista Morris, Grace Maddox, Abby Cox and Liz Eddy each scored a goal in the contest

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Louisville women's soccer team (3-1-0) took down the Dayton Flyers (1-3-0) Thursday night at Baujan Field by a score of 4-2. The four goals were scored by four different players as the Cardinals collected their third straight victory.

The Cards have scored 15 goals in their first four games this season, with five Louisville players earning their first career goal.

The first half started quietly with just eight total shots on goal between the two teams. By the 22nd minute, Dayton took an early 1-0 lead. The Cards gained momentum in the 38th minute when Trista Morris scored her first career goal, assisted by Amelia Swinarski.

Louisville came out of the half with all the momentum. Grace Maddox earned the go-ahead goal off a corner from Swinarski in the 63rd minute. Soon after, Abby Cox connected on a cross from Brooklyn Lee to extend the lead. Liz Eddy capped off the scoring for the Cards with a goal in the 70^th minute, which was her first in a Louisville uniform.

Dayton scored its final goal in the 76th minute, but the Cards held on to their lead to walk away with a 4-2 victory.

UofL is back in action at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium Sunday, August 30 to take on Akron. The matchup is set to kick off at 1 p.m. ET and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
