
Cardinals in 10th After First Round of Mason Rudolph Championship

Bailey Burkett is tied for fourth at 4-under-par
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — The Louisville women's golf team is in 10th place after the first round of the Mason Rudolph Championship Friday afternoon from Vanderbilt Legends Club. The Cardinals carded a 9-over-par 293 for the first round but have one player in the Top 5 of the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Bailey Burkett is leading the way for the Cardinals after a 4-under-par 67 in the first round of action. She tallied six birdies on the round and is tied for fourth overall. The 67 sets a career-best 18-hole score after her previous best was a 68 in last year's NCAA Lexington Regional.
Madison Moman and Veronika Exposito are both tied for 57th overall after shooting 4-over-par 75 on the day. Exposito finished the day with birdies on each of her last three holes.
Millie Cottrell and Thienna Huynh rounded out the scoring for the Cards on Friday. Cottrell was tied for 67th over after a 5-over-par 76 and Huynh was tied for 83rd overall after a 9-over-par 80. Cottrell tallied three birdies for the round while Huynh had one.
