Cardinals Head to Mason Rudolph Championship

They are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Sam Golden Invitational
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is back in action this weekend for its second tournament of the fall season. The Cardinals are heading down I-65 to take part in the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee. The Cards are one of 16 teams competing in the tournament that begins on Friday, September 19.
The Cardinals are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Sam Golden Invitational last week in their first tournament of the season. As a team the Cardinals best round game in round one, as they shot 11-under-par 277. The 277 ranked second all-time for lowest team round in program history, one shot behind the record of 276. Last season, the Cardinals best team round came in the final round of the NCAA Lexington Regional when they posted an 8-under-par 280.
The Cardinals will have the same five competing in Tennessee as the Sam Golden Invitational. Thienna Huynh, Veronika Exposito, Madison Moman, Millie Cottrell and Bailey Burkett will hit the course for the Cardinals this coming weekend.
Last week, Huynh led the way for the Cardinals. She finished tied for eighth overall after a 7-under-par 209 for the tournament. Huynh had all three rounds under par and set a career-best mark for a 54-hole score.
Exposito was right behind Huynh with a 6-under-par 210 to finish tied for 12th overall. Exposito had all three rounds under par, including two rounds in the 60's, after shooting a career-best 69 in the first and second round. Her 54-hole score of 210 also set a career-best mark.
Moman carded a 5-under-par 211 in her first collegiate tournament and finished tied for 19th overall. She was the third Louisville player to finish in the Top 20 and the third player to score under par for the tournament.
The first round of the Mason Rudolph Championship will start at 9:30 a.m. ET with the first Cardinals tee time beginning at 11:15 a.m. Fans can follow along for updates with the live stats here or on our social media channels.
