Louisville has yet to allow a goal this season.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's soccer team defeated IU Indianapolis 4-0 on Friday night at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium, improving to 3-0 to start the 2025 season. It marked the Cardinals' third straight shutout, their longest streak since 2023.
Louisville controlled the tempo from the start, holding the Jaguars without a shot in the first half while generating 10 of their own. The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when defender Olayinka Ogunleye netted his first goal of the year off a double assist from Noah De Blasis and Chase Vazquez.
The Cardinals gained an even bigger edge right after halftime as IU Indy went down to 10 men on a red card for denying a goal-scoring opportunity. Louisville quickly capitalized, with freshman Quinton Wilson scoring twice in a five-minute span (53rd and 57th minutes). His brace marked the first multi-goal performance of the year for the Cards.
De Blasis capped his standout night in the 78th minute, heading home his first career goal on a feed from Michael Lee. The defender finished with a goal and two assists, while Wilson added his first two collegiate goals. Overall, the Cards outshot the Jaguars 25-2 and held a 13-2 advantage in corners. Goalkeeper Alex Svetanoff improved to 3-0 with the clean sheet, as IU Indy was held without a shot on target.
Louisville now turns its attention to a top-five showdown, hosting No. 4 Stanford on Friday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. ET to open ACC play. The match will stream on ACC Network Extra.
