Louisville head coach Dan McDonnell:Ā (Opening Statement):Ā "Obviously, congratulations to Miami. We knew we had a good opponent, and they earned it. I mean, heck, they had double digit hits and almost double digit runs. So, we know they're very offensive, and they did a great job with two strikes and two outs. And usually in the postseason, those are the difference, the swing innings, one out away from getting off the field, and you don't get off the field because they get a two out hit, or vice-versa. We've done that at times too. So, congratulations to them, and man, looking forward to tomorrow."

On coach'sĀ opinion on the controversial foul ball call
"I don't have a good angle from the dugout. I just I asked the home plate umpire if he could help. Look guys, there's a million calls in a game with balls and strikes, and I know they're good conversation pieces, but there's no way in heck I'm going to blame a really good umpire. You know, make the next pitch, make the next play, get the next at bat. Again, that's part of life. I'm very confident that my team is not living in that self-pity world as to why we lost the game. Plus, that's disrespectful, I think to Miami and how well they played, you know, nothing was gifted to them, and they earned it today."
On the message to the team, now having a must win game tomorrow?
On the message to the team, now having a must win game tomorrow?
"For us, it's again, just really enjoy this journey. You know, we, you know, we've been saying it a lot, especially the past few weeks. destination is, is not on our mind, this is the best weekend in college baseball. Conference tournament is fun, the next stage is fun, but you don't get to play in front of 6000 people at Jim Patterson stadium. So, my message is, enjoy this. This is the best weekend you'll ever have in college baseball. So better enjoy it, come out and have fun."
Eddie King Jr. // Outfielder // Senior
On have you been doing so well this postseason?
"I'm just trying to do what I can to help my team. I'm not trying to be selfish by doing too much. I just want to come up big for my team in the situations they need it."
On he conversation among the team to prepare for tomorrow's game?
"We still have one more game to play here in this beautiful stadium with all our beautiful fans, a packed-out stadium. I have confidence that we'll bounce back. As Coach (McDonnell) says, we get knocked down, but we always get back up. I have 100% faith that we're going to come back and win tomorrow."
Take us through that last inning and how you were able to maintain the confidence levels.
"I always know that we have the chance to come back with this lineup. This offense is really dangerous, I believe. We all have that confidence and we all know that we can put up a crooked number just like that. I don't think anybody had any doubt in their minds in that last inning. We all believed we could make something special happen."
