The University of Louisville lacrosse team will return to Atlantic Coast Conference play on Saturday at 12 p.m. when Virginia Tech visits UofL Lacrosse Stadium. Admission is free. Saturday's contest will also serve as the Cardinals' Cancer Awareness Game played in honor of those who have fought – and are still battling – the disease.

OPENING DRAW
• The Cardinals enter the game with a 4-3 record and a 1-1 mark in ACC play following a 13-9 win at Vanderbilt on Wednesday.
• Sophomore Reese Whiteman paces the team with 12 goals and stands tied for the lead with 13 points.
• Junior Negai Nakazawa has tallied 13 points, is tied for the team-lead with five assists and stands tied for third with eight goals.
• Junior Rian Adkins is second on the team with nine goals.
• Nakazawa and Whiteman have scored at least one goal in six of Louisville's seven games this season.
• Junior Maggie McMahon is tied for the team lead with five assists and has registered at least one point in the last five games she has played.
• Sophomore Catherine Kangas has collected a team-high 13 ground balls and is tied for the team lead with 10 caused turnovers. Graduate senior Ashley Osborne also has 10 caused turnovers and 12 ground balls.
• Freshman Olivia Scroggie paces the team with 25 draw controls including a career-high seven in the 13-10 loss at Marquette.
• J Pleck (4-3) has posted 72 saves - including a career-high 16 against Vanderbilt while logging 392:35 minutes in goal this season.
• Last season, Louisville posted an 8-11 record after registering the program's first-ever ACC tournament win, beating Virginia Tech 13-11 in the first round. Louisville also earned a 13-12 win over No. 20 Clemson in the 2024 regular season.
• Louisville returns 25 players from last year's squad including nine seniors. The Cardinals also welcome 11 freshmen to this year's roster.
