The University of Louisville lacrosse team will take a break from Atlantic Coast Conference play with midweek trip to Nashville to face Vanderbilt Wednesday at 1 p.m. (ET).

OPENING DRAW
• The Cardinals enter the game with a 3-3 record and a 1-1 mark in ACC play following a 20-4 loss to No. 2 North Carolina.
• Sophomore Reese Whiteman leads the team with 10 goals and stands second on the team with 11 points.
• Junior Negai Nakazawa paces the team with 12 points and stands tied for second with seven goals.
• Senior Lauren Figas is also tied for second on the team with seven goals
• Nakazawa and Whiteman have scored at least one goal in five of Louisville's six games this season.
• Graduate senior Ashley Osborne and sophomore Catherine Kangas have collected a team-high 11 ground balls. Osborne has nine caused turnovers while Kangas has eight.
• Freshman Olivia Scroggie paces the team with 20 draw controls including a career-high seven in the 13-10 loss at Marquette.
• J Pleck (3-3) has posted 56 saves - including a career-high 13 against Marquette- while logging 332:35 minutes in goal this season.
• Last season, Louisville posted an 8-11 record after registering the program's first-ever ACC tournament win, beating Virginia Tech 13-11 in the first round. Louisville also earned a 13-12 win over No. 20 Clemson in the 2024 regular season.
• Louisville returns 25 players from last year's squad including nine seniors. The Cardinals also welcome 11 freshmen to this year's roster.

Last Meeting: Feb. 27, 2023 in Nashville, Tenn.
• Kylea Dobson scored a career high six goals to lead the Cardinals to a 15-12 non-conference win at Vanderbilt. Nicole Perroni equaled a season high with four goals in the win. Kokoro Nakazawa added three goals and Negai Nakazawa contributed a career best two goals.
Scouting the Commodores: Vanderbilt enters Wednesday's game with a 2-3 overall record following a 14-8 loss to No. 22/24 Ohio State. Louisville also played Ohio State on Feb. 15 and fell 9-6 for its first loss of the season.
• Louisville and Vanderbilt faced another common opponent in Cincinnati - the Cards emerged with an 11-9 win. Vandy also prevailed 13-8.
• UofL opened the season with a 10-8 win over Denver while Vanderbilt fell 17-8 to the Pioneers.
• Kemper Robinson was named the American Athletic Conference Preseason Defender of the Year. Vanderbilt was picked to finish second in the conference in the preseason coaches' poll behind James Madison.
• Head coach Beth Hewitt is in her seventh season at the helm.
