The University of Louisville lacrosse team will return home to face No. 4 Stanford in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup Saturday at 12 p.m. The contest is also the Cardinals' Military and First Responder Appreciation game. Following the game the team will sign autographs. Â

• Saturday will mark the Cardinals' second straight contest against a top-15 team as they face their their third ranked opponent in the last four games.
• Louisville enters the game with a 5-6 record and a 1-4 mark in ACC play following a 14-2 loss at No. 15 Clemson on Sunday.Â
• Sophomore Reese Whiteman paces the team with a career-high 16 goals and 20 points.
• Junior Negai Nakazawa follows closely with 19 points and leads the team with seven assists.
• Nakazawa has scored at least one goal in nine of Louisville's 11 games, totaling 12 on the season.
• Graduate senior Ashley Osborne leads the team with 18 ground balls and has accumulated 99 in her career, needing one more to become the eighth player in program history with 100 or more ground balls.
• Sophomore Catherine Kangas leads the team with 16 caused turnovers and stands second behind Osborne with 17 ground balls.
• Freshman Olivia Scroggie paces the team with 41 draw controls including a career-high eight in the 19-6 win at Xavier.
• J Pleck (5-6) has posted 98 saves - including a career-high 16 against Vanderbilt while logging 502:54 minutes in goal this season. She recently surpassed the 200 save mark, becoming the seventh player in program history to do so.
• Last season, Louisville posted an 8-11 record after registering the program's first-ever ACC tournament win, beating Virginia Tech 13-11 in the first round. Louisville also earned a 13-12 win over No. 20 Clemson in the 2024 regular season.

• 2011 Recap: In a tough battle against seventh-ranked Stanford on a chilly Thursday evening, the No. 18-ranked University of Louisville women's lacrosse team dropped its first game of the year, 16-12, at the U of L Lacrosse Stadium. The game became a back-and-forth battle early on, featuring three ties and three lead changes within the first nine minutes of the contest.
Scouting the Cardinal: Stanford brings a 9-3 overall record into the weekend following a 12-9 loss at Army on Wednesday. At 3-2 in league play the Cardinal is third in ACC standings with wins against then-No. 7 Virginia, Pitt and Virginia Tech and losses to No. 11 Stanford and, most recently No. 1 Boston College as the Eagles halted Stanford's 20-game home win streak on Saturday.
•   Aliya Polisky leads the Cardinal in goals with 36 and in points with 43.
•   Sophomore attacker Elise Murphy leads in assists with 22.
• Danielle Spencer is in her sixth season at the helm. Under her guidance, Stanford swept the Pac-12 regular-season and tournament titles in three of the last four seasons while making three NCAA Tournament appearances.
