Saturday's Softball Game Moved to Doubleheader on Friday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville softball team will welcome No. 16/17 Virginia Tech to Ulmer Stadium this weekend for its second ACC series of 2025. The series has been moved to a doubleheader on Friday (4 p.m. and 6 p.m.) with no contest on Saturday and a noon start on Sunday.Â

Louisville (17-7, 2-1) is coming off a 10-2 win in five innings over EKU on Wednesday night. Freshman infielder Taylor Monroe knocked her first career home run, a grand slam, and tacked on a double to lead the Cards in RBI. Junior pitcher Alyssa Zabala threw five innings against the Colonels, striking out five batters and giving up two runs. UofL stole four bases from EKU to put its season total at 66, which is good for eighth nationally and first in the ACC.

Louisville grabbed its first ACC series win of the year last weekend over Notre Dame, including a 14-inning matchup against the Irish on Sunday that was walked off by Camryn Lookadoo.

Games will be March 14 and March 16Â with first pitches slated for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and noon on Sunday. The series will be broadcast on ACCNX.
