14 Student-Athletes Named to All-ACC Academic Team

Alyssa Zabala earned the fourth honor of her career, leading the team.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball team placed 14 student-athletes on the All-ACC Academic Team, the league office announced Tuesday. The Cardinals led the ACC with the most selections across the conference.
Among those honored, Alyssa Zabala earned the fourth All-ACC Academic distinction of her career. Easton Lotus, Chelsea Mack, and Katie Thatcher garnered their third career All-ACC Academic honor. Bri Despines, Riley Janda, Camryn Lookadoo, Taylor Monroe, and Madison Pickens were named to the team for the second time in their careers. Brooke Gray, Madi Reeves, Ava Venturelli, Jordan Williams, and Anna Wise were named to the team for the first time in their careers.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0 grade point average for the previous two semesters, a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career, has to have been enrolled at the institution for at least one year and the student must be classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.
