Louisville Softball Adds Three to 2026 Transfer Class

Kaidance Till, Abbie DeWaters and Mak Sitarski join the Cardinals for 2027 season.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville head softball coach Holly Aprile has announced the addition of three student-athletes to the Cardinals' 2026 transfer class as Abbie DeWaters, Mak Sitarski, and Kaidance Till are set to join the program for the 2027 season.
"Mak, Kaidance, and Abbie are great additions to our program," said Coach Aprile. "Each of them brings unique qualities of character and competitive drive that will enhance our team culture and athletic versatility."
The trio brings collegiate experience and decorated high school résumés to Louisville, adding depth at infielder, catcher and outfielder following a record-setting 2026 campaign.
Abbie DeWaters | C | Hobe Sound, Fla. | South Florida
DeWaters comes to Louisville following her freshman season at South Florida, where she appeared in 18 games and helped the Bulls win the American Athletic Conference Championship and advance to an NCAA Regional.
The Hobe Sound, Fla., native was a four-year varsity starter at South Fork High School and was a four-time All-State and All-Area selection. She also earned All-Academic honors all four years and received the school's Scholar Athlete Award while maintaining a 4.0 GPA from 2022-25.
DeWaters was named the 2023 TC Palm Treasure Coast Player of the Year after hitting .347 with seven doubles, two triples, five home runs and 37 RBIs in 2023. She closed her prep career with a .368 batting average, 12 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 24 RBIs in 2025.
DeWaters also enjoyed success on the travel circuit with Tampa Mustangs Rene. The team finished third at the 2025 Tier 1 Alliance Nationals, where DeWaters was named to the Alliance Nationals All-Tournament Team after batting .469 with two doubles and four stolen bases.
"After visiting campus and meeting the coaches, I knew Louisville was the right place for me," said DeWaters. "The culture they've built and the energy around the team made me feel at home and it just felt like the perfect fit."
Mak Sitarski | OF | Allen Park, Mich. | Toledo
Sitarski joins Louisville after her freshman season at Toledo, where she appeared in 29 games and made 13 starts in left field. She recorded her first collegiate hit against Northwestern, scored seven runs and drove in a run against UMass while going 1-for-1 in stolen-base attempts.
A standout at Allen Park High School, Sitarski was a three-time Michigan All-State selection and earned All-District, All-Region and All-League honors in each of her four seasons. She was also a three-time Downriver Dream Team selection and was recognized as one of the top players in the state, earning a Michigan top 10 player distinction and a top 30 selection by State Champs. Sitarski helped Allen Park win the 2022 Michigan Division I state championship while also leading the program to four district championships and two regional titles.
She earned NFCA Second Team All-American honors in 2022-23 and was an NFCA Midwest Second Team All-Region selection in 2022. She was also named to the All-Region V First Team in 2023-24. Sitarski saved one of her best seasons for her senior campaign, posting a program-record .596 batting average and .618 on-base percentage in 2025.
On the club circuit, Sitarski played for Beverly Bandits-Freeland, helping the team win the Scenic City Top 25 Championship in fall 2023 and finish among the top five at the PGF National Championship.
"I chose UofL softball because I love the speed of the offense and the unpredictability they bring at the plate," said Sitarski. "I love the aggressiveness on the base paths and the overall grit of the team. The coaches made me feel like I belonged in the family on day one."
Kaidance Till | INF | Germantown Hills, Ill. | Ole Miss
Till joins the Cardinals after redshirting her freshman season in 2026. The Germantown Hills, Ill., native was one of the most decorated prep players in Illinois history during her four-year career at Metamora Township High School.
Till was a four-time first team All-Conference, All-Area and All-State selection from 2022-25 and earned Extra Inning Softball first team All-American honors in each of her four seasons. She was also named an NFCA All-American in 2025.
A three-time Peoria Journal Star Softball Player of the Year from 2023-25, Till became the first player in the history of the award to win it three times. She helped Metamora to four regional championships and two sectional titles during her career.
Till finished her senior season batting .648 with 18 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs and 40 RBIs. She finished her career as the program's all-time leader in almost every major offensive category, including batting average, hits, runs, RBIs, doubles, home runs, extra-base hits, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, OPS and walks. Till played her club softball for Tennessee Mojo Fisher/Ramsey.
"From the start, the coaches were amazing – I felt very welcomed as soon as I stepped on campus," said Till. "The culture of the team was exactly what I was looking for, and the coaching staff is genuinely a dream come true. I'm so thankful for the opportunity that the coaches are giving me and the trust they have in me to be a part of their program."
The three newcomers join a Louisville program that established numerous single-season offensive records during the 2026 season, including marks for hits, runs, doubles, RBIs, walks and stolen bases. The Cardinals also recorded a program-record 18 ACC wins, their first 40-win season since 2013 and finished the regular season ranked No. 25 in the NFCA Coaches' Poll.
