Ally Alexander Named Louisville Softball Director of Operations

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville head softball coach Holly Aprile has announced the promotion of Ally Alexander to director of softball operations for the Cardinals.
Alexander spent the 2026 season as a graduate assistant with the Louisville softball program after completing a four-year playing career with the Cards from 2022-25. A Louisville native and graduate of Spencer County High School, Alexander brings extensive experience within the program as both a student-athlete and staff member.
During her playing career, Alexander appeared in 190 games and made 169 starts. She played primarily at shortstop, second base and third base throughout her career.
As a senior in 2025, Alexander started all 51 games at third base and posted a .322 batting average with 38 hits, eight doubles and 13 RBIs. Her eight doubles ranked second on the team, while she also recorded nine multi-hit games and posted a .978 fielding percentage. She was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and was an NFCA Scholar-Athlete.
A four-time all-district and three-time all-region selection at Spencer County High School, Alexander also earned Courier-Journal Metro Louisville all-area honors and played travel ball for the Beverly Bandits Moran.
Alexander graduated from Louisville with a bachelor's degree in sport administration in 2025 and a master's degree in sport administration in 2026.
