The University of Louisville lacrosse team will play host to Cincinnati Wednesday at 12 p.m. at UofL Lacrosse Stadium. The game was previously scheduled for Tuesday, but was moved due to inclement weather in the area. Admission is free.

Last Meeting: March 6, 2024 -Â Louisville won 18-13 at Nippert Stadium. Kokoro Nakazawa recorded a career-high six goals and Allegra Catalano tied a season-high four goals in leading Louisville to an 18-13 win over Cincinnati.
Scouting the Bearcats: Cincinnati enters Tuesday's matchup with an 0-1 record following a season-opening 13-8 loss to Vanderbilt at Nippert Stadium.
• Cincinnati is in their inaugural season in the Big 12 after leaving the American Athletic Conference and are picked to finish fourth in the Big 12 preseason poll. Camryn Callaghan, Lauren Ottensmeyer and Alexis Rich were named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team. Lauren Ottensmeyer was also named as a preseason Third Team All American by USA Lacrosse while attacker Camryn Callaghan received an honorable mention from USA Lacrosse's All-American List.
• In 2024, Cincinnati posted an 10-7 overall record and went 2-4 in American Athletic Conference play. The Bearcats finished fifth in the American Athletic Conference.
• Cincinnati is coached by Gina Thomas who is in her 13th season at the helm.

The University of Louisville lacrosse team opened the 2025 campaign with a 10-8 win over No. 15 Denver Friday afternoon at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
• Junior Lauren Figas recorded her first career hat trick while junior Negai Nakazawa finished the game with two goals and three assists and Rian Adkins added a pair of goals. Senior J Pleck collected nine saves as the Cardinals (1-0) snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Pioneers.
• In the game each team had 17 shots on goal with Pleck tallying eight saves and Denver's Emelia Bohi totaling seven. Ashley Osborne led the Cardinals with three ground balls and caused a turnover.
• Louisville's 10 goals against Denver were the most against the Pioneers since Feb. 2022.
• The win over Denver marks Louisville's first victory over a ranked team since March 16, 2-24 when the Cards beat then-. 20 Clemson 13-12.
• It is also the highest-ranked victory since April 22, 2017 when Louisville beat then-No. 7 Syracuse 9-8.
• Friday marked first season-opening win over a ranked team in program history.
• Negai Nakazawa tied a career high with four points.
