LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As the calendar flips to November, postseason play is about to begin for the 21st-ranked Louisville women's soccer team (13-3-2, 6-2-2 ACC). The Cardinals are heading down to Durham to face the 10th-ranked and No. 3 seed Duke Blue Devils (12-3-1, 7-3-0 ACC) in the quarterfinals of the Ally ACC Championship on Sunday. Louisville and Duke will square off at 6 p.m. ET and it will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
It is the first time the Cardinals have advanced to the ACC Tournament since the 2020 season. It is the fourth time they have made the ACC Tournament since they joined the league in the 2014 season. All three of Louisville's goals came in the second half with Emersen Jennings scoring her fifth of the season to open the scoring. Liza Suydam and Amelia Swinarski had assists on the goal and it was Swinarski's team-leading 10th helper of the season. Brooklyn Lee scored her first career goal and Fina Davy scored her first goal of the season to put the game out of reach. Betsy Huckaby assisted on both goals for a career high two assists in a game. Erynn Floyd tallied three saves for her ACC-leading 10th shutout of the season. Louisville has shutout opponents 12 times this season and Floyd has started in all 12 games.
